Money Affirmations - Why Affirmations Will Change Your Life - Part I of II

Money affirmations, like all affirmations, are statements you choose to listen to or say for the purpose of changing the way you think. In turn, the way you feel, decide and act will also change, which will change the results you get in life.

And the more often you hear a certain thought (e.g., "life is hard"), the more likely you are to think it yourself.

Eventually, you don't even have to hear that "life is hard" for you to automatically think it.

At that point, you begin to act as though life is hard, and feel as though life is hard, and expect life to be hard. The result is that life becomes hard.

And if life truly isn't hard, you will unconsciously do whatever it takes to make it hard. You might miss your bus, lose your car keys, or even sleep through your alarm clock.

Why would you do that?

Because you're convinced deep down inside that life is hard, and so life HAS to be hard, otherwise something is amiss.

You Can't Cut Women in Half!

If that sounds unbelievable, consider a different example. You go see a magician who cuts a woman in half. Or, more precisely, your eyes see him cut the woman in half, but your brain denies the possibility.

Why would your brain do that? Because you're convinced deep down inside that you can't cut women in half, and so she HAS to still be in one piece, otherwise something is amiss.

In other words, if your thinking says things work a certain way (e.g., you can't cut women in half), then even if you encounter that very thing in life (i.e., a woman cut in half), your thinking overrides it, rendering it impossible.

You find yourself thinking or saying:

* "There must be a trick" or
* "He cheated"

Or you find yourself doing something that cancels out what your thinking says is impossible (e.g., searching on Google to figure out the trick).

In the same way, if your thinking says things do NOT work a certain way (e.g., "life is not easy"), then even if you encounter that very thing in life, your thinking overrides it, rendering it impossible.

You find yourself thinking or saying:

* "That's too good to be true" or
* "There must be a catch"

Or you find yourself doing something that cancels out what your thinking says is impossible (e.g., missing your bus, losing your car keys, or sleeping through your alarm clock).

Wait, Here's the Good News!

If all that sounds depressing, the good news is that you can turn it all on its head.

And in Part II of this article, you'll see just how you can use affirmations in general (and money affirmations specifically) to change the way you think, which, in turn, will change the results you get in life.
