Okay, I am assuming that you already know a little something about affirmations. Affirmations really are a great way to change your limiting beliefs that you have within yourself that can limit you and keep you away from moving towards your goals and your desires.
Affirmations can be incredibly powerful. They can also be a complete waste of time if you are not doing them right.
Many people fall into the crowd that believes that reciting affirmations will be the magic key that unlocks all of their dreams and their true potential. And that simply is NOT true!
Affirmations are a tool for success but they are not the entire plan. And many people also make their affirmations too complex or too long. Affirmations should be short and sweet and they also work well when they have a nice rhythm to the words. This will allow your subconscious mind to ingest the message and keep it repeating in your mind even when your lips are not moving.
You should also couple your affirmations with action. If I repeated over and over to myself that I am losing weight, for example, I cannot also stuff my face full of ice cream and expect the affirmations to have any positive effect on myself. So, if you repeat over and over to yourself that you are gaining wealth but you remain in debt and keep taking actions that place you in debt, they will have no effect.
Trust me on this one. If you do not couple your affirmations with action, nothing will happen. Take action and that is how you will make your affirmations even more powerful!
